Bah Angry video game sucks. Irate gamer is the thing. and good luck whit the 10% thats left off 4 swords 7

I agree with you about the console emulation
I got two N64 games via Virtual console and playing on a friend's of mine N64 made me wish I had the original copies of the games

@habi123pizza: What you don't know, is that Irategamer copied the AVGN obviously. Because AVGN arrived earlier than Irate.

Back on topic, I also emulate games myself. One of the reasons is because the games are never found here, or if I don't have access to that console. I primarily emulate the GBA, NES, Genesis, and some of the older game consoles because I cannot buy them anymore and because I won't be able to get them online.

I don't have a problem with emulating, but like you said, I also wish I had bought the original ones like we're supposed to.

i tried an n64 emu on windows98 it worked but i got screwed forgetting to put the controller input
2 days ago i tried to put prinnies on the psp but didnt know how that worked to

SoraMegamanSonic i know that AVGN is older but i hate his show almost as much as i hate Bill gates.

SoraMegamanSonic Irategamer does not copy AVGN if just people could understand that.

That's enough. Don't get off topic. I'm not here to talk about The Irate Gamer... -_-"

Meh, I like both shows.
Troll, please don't get off topic.
With that aside,
I really don't mind emulation,
fine by me if asked.
This goes especially for Mother 1, and three,
both which were never released outside of Japan.

I'm fine with emulation, though the 2 times i attempted to get one, my pc decided that it would rather explode (data wise) so i never went and got one, might do in future but not sure if i can get one that is windows 7 compatible, since i agave my xp computer to my sister. i have an N64 and love it to bits, but the games are so rare and expensive to get, i know because when i was short on cash i sold my conkers bad fur day for £42, something i sort of regret cuz now i want to play it and the xbox version, though tweaked is just not as good.
still i have goldeneye and LoZ:OoT 2 of some of the best games ever made and sometimes to do play them.
back on topic [ sorry :( ] i agree with emulating but it is usually better to own them (but much more expensve) sorry for long comment thanks for reading ^_^

I should say that emulation is one of the best things I have ever seen. Being able to play games that did not came out in the US for one reason or another feels great. I myself have a PSP that can play both GBA and SNES games alongside PSP games of course. This is a great topic and I am glad that soeone finally brought it up, also, like you said before, it is illegal but thanks to that theres the visual console, XBOX Live Arcade and if the PS3 have one I dont remember the name.

wow, i would kill someone to have the original Chrono Trigger, that is the best rpg of all and the plot totally rapes the final fantasy saga. Is the most awesome game of all time, more than mario rpg :D

I use to emulate, but eventually I got tired of having to play it on a keyboard with the computer monitor, and I eventually just set out to earn enough money to actually buy an SNES and a copy of EarthBound.

Well back too topic

Bobgrounds you did the rhigt thing

I use Emulators sometimes Playstation, N64 or older. PS or N64 as well as other 3D platform consoles can be bad mostly due to the graphic plugins but I get by

I agree. Emulators are great ways to get games to be noticed, and to revitalize classic games like megaman, mario world, metal gear, bomberman, ect. I used to use the GBA emulator, till I got a job, and now my collection of games is catching up to AVGN... that is until my bro jacked all my N64 games and was never heard from again =/ but aside from that. Im in agreement! *two thimbs up*

Console emulation is alright for systems that are fully emulated such as the NES, SNES, Genesis, etc...but what I don't get is why bad rips ([b], [b1], etc.) are released...I mean, what's the point? Some bad rips are to the point of not playable/doesn't boot at all.
I did notice one SNES emulator (not saying which one...) did go downhill in emulation accuracy and compatibility in their latest release compared to the previous release.
As far as accuracy and playability, there's nothing better than the real thing, unless it's the SNES's SuperFX chip we're talking about like Star Fox has (one emulator actually runs this game faster than the real SNES).

BTW, I do have the original NES, SNES, GBA, Genesis, PSX, PS2 systems as well.

i don't see what's wrong with console emulations. i use all the time and there hasn't been a problem yet. some people think it's wrong one way or another but,in truth, it all comes down on how we see it.
keep up the good work you all^_^

yeah sure nothing beats classics but sometimes when you look for them and don´t find them kinda pisses you off but id give anything for the original of many games.
I have even kept my n64 if I find any classic games that im interested on
but in the mean time I play emulators. :l

Yea.... I haven't tried COnkers bad fur day
